Director of Youth Ministries

Curt grew up in a small town in eastern North Dakota, where his dad worked for the US Air Force maintaining air defense radar systems.   When the radar sites all closed in the 1970's, the air force sent his dad to Nellis air force base in Las Vegas Nevada, and the family moved when Curt was  Junior in high school.   After high school Curt enrolled at the University of North Dakota, where he graduated magna cum laude with majors in Math and Computer science in 1981.  

 

He started his first job in June of that year in the Twin Cities, where he met his future wife, Lynn, on the first day of work.  While employed there he finished a Masters degree in Computer Science with some psychology work.  Lynn and Curt were married in June of 1986, and Timmy was born in March of 1990.   In 1992, the family moved to Rochester where Bryan was born in July of 1994.   Curt was employed as an engineer at IBM from 1996 - January of 2007.  

 Curt has been an active volunteer with youth ministry since 1985, working with Jr High and Senior High youth through those years at various churches in the Twin Cities and here at Holy Cross.  In 2004, he took a 3 -year part time leave of absence to pursue this ministry further and now finds himself employed by Holy Cross as the full-time Director of Youth Ministry.  
 He enjoys hanging out with teens, landscaping & gardening, home improvement projects, fishing, and puttering with just about anything mechanical, electronic, or computer related.
