Thrivent members! (anyone owning an in-force insurance policy or other product)

Thrivent is a fraternal benefit company. That means they must distribute certain amounts of any profits to charitable causes. You, as a member, can help direct those funds in two ways:

The process is really rather simple to apply for these.

  1. Get a Thrivent Login. You will need your Thrivent Member ID. Go to Thrivent's web site to sign in or create your id.
  2. Once you sign in, click on "My Thrivent" then select "Direct Thrivent Choice" or "Thrivent Action Teams - Apply or Report".
  3. For "Direct Thrivent Choice, simply search for the organization you would like to benefit, such as Holy Cross, and follow the simple directions to direct your dollars there.
  4. For an action team, determine what your project will be, when it will be, and what you would use the money for. If you don't have a good idea, contact any Holy Cross Staff member for projects at church that could use your support throughout the year. Don't let your $500 get away! I am sure we can find a way to use it!
  5. You will get a kit in the mail that contains a prepaid debit card. This can be used for expenses for the project.
  6. When the project is over, you simply answer a few questions about it on your Thrivent page. Once you have completed your first project and reported, you are eligible for a second.
