Evangelism:

Evangelism is a special gift God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to effectively communicate God's message of salvation through Jesus Christ to unbelievers. They are especially sensitive to God's timing for the planting of the seed of the Gospel.

Visitor Visitation

This committee cares for those who visit Holy Cross. There are two components to this committee. First is the sending of cards to those visitors from out-of-town. Secondly, phone calls and a possible follow-up visit are made to those who are first time in-town visitors. The goals of these visits are to encourage people as they seek a church home, offer the ministry of Holy Cross to them and assure them they are welcome at Holy Cross. Also visitors will take advantage of opportunities to share their personal faith.

Becoming a Contagious Christian Training

This is a training course for effective witnessing in the life of every Christian. This 8-session course is offered at various times during the year and is also an option for a small group study. This training helps the participants to identify their evangelism style, and how to develop their story and share it with others. Role playing is an important part of this training.

Youth WorkCamp Trips

Each summer, our youth plan to travel to a community that needs repair on the housing of the residents. This trip is organized through Group WorkCamps. This trip gives opportunity for reaching out to community members and also strengthening other campers within our group or those who are participating from other churches. Youth completing grade 8 through high school are eligible. Adult chaperones are also needed. This event usually is scheduled for 10 days.
