Intercession:

Intercession is a special gift God gives to certain members of the body of Christ to be regularly and very actively involved in personal prayer and public prayer activities. They are diligent and thorough in their follow-up to prayer. Prayer fills a much greater part of their lives than other Christians.

Sunday Morning Prayer Ministry

            Each Sunday morning from 8:00-8:45 a.m., join our Pastor in prayer.  No registration is required.  Signs are posted for the location of this Prayer Ministry meeting.

Pray! Rochester

            Pray! Rochester is dedicated to encouraging and supporting committed, sustained, worshipful prayer, personal and corporate, for the Rochester area. We are here to serve as schedule keepers of prayer as together we reach toward establishing prayer 24 hours per day seven days a week (24/7). We believe that even 24 hours per week can cause change in our city. Holy Cross is a partner in this prayer ministry. See http://www.prayrochester.com/ for more information.

Men's, Women's and Mixed Adult Bible Fellowship Small Group Ministry

            Holy Cross has a number of small groups for men and/or for women. Each of these groups devotes part of their time together in intercession for the needs of the group, church and community.

Prayer Chain

            As a ministry of the Women of Holy Cross, a number of prayer chains have been organized. Participants in these chains use the phone to share and pass on prayer needs. The members give praise, comfort and encouragement through prayers they offer on behalf of Holy Cross members, their families and friends. These groups of dedicated Christians provide spiritual growth and strength to our church.

Confirmation Secret Prayer Partners

            The Women of Holy Cross have implemented a prayer partner ministry for each of our junior confirmands the year prior to their confirmation. To be a secret prayer partner there needs to be a willingness to intercede regularly and communicate periodically by mail for an assigned young person. The term of service is one year.
